Dedication to Craftsmanship

Master Gunworks is a one‑pistolsmith shop. Every 1911 that leaves here is built by my hands alone. I put craftsmanship and attention to detail ahead of speed or volume. Perfection isn’t fast, and it isn’t automated. A full build can take 150 hours or more, and that time is what allows each pistol to reach the standard I expect of my work.

The Method

I build each 1911 by hand using manual machine tools, files, stones, lapping compounds, and traditional fitting methods. Every critical surface is cut, shaped, or finished with intent. This approach produces a level of fit, feel, and mechanical smoothness that simply cannot be replicated by shortcuts or automated processes.

Precision & Accuracy

One of the greatest advantages of a hand‑built 1911 is the level of accuracy that can be achieved through controlled, deliberate fitting. Barrel, bushing, slide, and lock‑up geometry are all tuned by hand, allowing a degree of precision that mass‑production methods cannot match.
